Every bonus has a price tag.

Work out any bonus

A £50 bonus at the UK cap of 10x means £500 of bets before you can withdraw. At a typical 96% return, that costs about £20 on average. We print that maths next to every offer.

How the order is decided

Our editorial score carries the most weight. How readers respond to each site, including clicks, sign-ups and the commission we earn, moves the order too. We say so, and we put guardrails on it.

  • Only sites licensed where you are can appear at all.
  • A site scoring under 7.5 can never take a top-three spot.
  • Verified player complaints push a site down, whatever it earns us.
  • Scores never change for money. Paid placements are labelled Featured.

Questions people ask

Is Hub of Luck independent?

We are not owned by any operator. We earn commission when readers sign up through some links, and that can move the order of a list. It never changes a score, and we explain exactly how on our ranking page.

Why can I not see any sites for my location?

We list operators licensed where you are. In Canadian provinces with no regulated private market, we list sites licensed in Malta or Curaçao and label each one. If a product is not legal where you are, we show information and support resources instead.

How do you test sites?

When we test a site we open a real account, verify ID, deposit, set a limit, play and time a real withdrawal, then re-test every 90 days. Sites we have not tested yet are marked "Not yet rated" and carry no score.

Can gambling be a way to make money?

No. Every game has a built-in house edge, so over time players lose more than they win. Treat it as paid entertainment with a fixed budget.

How can I tell if an online casino is licensed?

Check the regulator's own public register, not just the logo on the site. In Great Britain, click through to the Gambling Commission register and confirm the licence, business name and website domain match. In Ontario, the regulated operator directory is on iGaming Ontario's site. In US states such as New Jersey, the regulator publishes the approved sites, and any site not on that list is not approved.

How long should an online casino withdrawal take?

No single legal deadline applies, and times vary by operator and payment method. In Great Britain, withdrawal delays are the top complaint to the Gambling Commission, which says operators must not add new checks at withdrawal that they could have done earlier, and should explain any delay. If a payout stalls, complain to the operator first, then use its free independent ADR service.

What does a wagering requirement mean?

A wagering requirement is how many times you must stake bonus funds before you can withdraw winnings made from them. For example, 10x on a £10 bonus means £100 of bets. In Great Britain, wagering requirements have been capped at 10x since 19 January 2026, and offers that require you to play two or more products, such as betting and slots, are banned.

Is online gambling legal where I live?

It depends on your country, province or state. In Great Britain it is legal for adults 18 and over with a Gambling Commission licensed site. In Canada, only provinces may conduct and manage gambling, so legal options depend on your province. In the US it is decided state by state; Pennsylvania, for example, allows licensed online casino play only for people 21 and over located in the state.

What can I do if a casino won't pay my winnings?

Complain to the operator first in writing and keep copies. A licensed site must then follow its regulator's process: in Great Britain the business has 8 weeks, then you can use a free ADR service; in Ontario you can escalate to the AGCO, though it cannot order refunds. With unlicensed offshore sites, regulators such as Michigan's say players have no recourse if winnings are withheld.

Where can I get help with problem gambling?

Free, confidential help is available around the clock. In Great Britain, call the National Gambling Helpline run by GamCare on 0808 8020 133. In Ontario, ConnexOntario answers 24/7 on 1-866-531-2600. In the US, the National Problem Gambling Helpline is 1-800-MY-RESET (call or text), and the older 1-800-522-4700 number still works.
